Cats are mammals

Something I wanna share with everyone..

Cats are mammals, and in nature many mammals use urine and feces as a method of communication to mark territory and assert their dominance. Cats are also territorial and their natural environments are ruled by very strict rules of cat hierarchy. Cats mark territory with urine, feces, scratching and rubbing behavior. All of these actions leave different scent marks.

In nature, some cats will bury their feces to reduce odor and their subsequent presence to predators. Many dominant cats will leave their feces uncovered asserting their dominance While subordinate cats will often cover another cat's feces.

Ok, so now I know why Lea don't burry her poop. She's dominant.

Camila always covers other's poop before she goes to toilet. So she's a subordinate.

Yesterday Alice and Ijat came to adopt Camila and Olsen White. Kinda quiet without those naughty kittens. There are 4 new kittens and still on litter train. Very naughty kittens. Will tell you their story in the next post..

Hyper Thomas

hyper mode. ADOPTED

Bought The Star yesterday, can't believe how beautiful Lea is. Get lots of calls and sms wanting to adopt Lea. I even gets sms from a kind lady way in Kelantan. Most of them doesn't fit my criteria. I really need someone who has experience with cats, but currently have no cats. Lea is such an adorable cat, just that, she only want me to sayang her if I bring her into my room, with no other cats around. After filtering, managed to get 2 candidate in the list. One from Setapak, another from Kota Kemuning. They'll come and visit Lea today. Hope Lea likes them.

On the other hand, Bleach was neutered a week ago. Ever since, he became hyperactive. Running around, playing.. Maybe he's stress-free now. Since he can run and turn my home upside down, he's ready for adoption.

Once upon a time, I was dumped by my owner. I was confused, scared, have no idea where to go. Then I saw a guy walking nearby so I followed him, hoping he'll provide me shelter from the cold eerie night. He brought me to paradise. The paradise owner gave me food, litter-trained me, and give me all the love I used to get. I love being hugged, and a pet on my head. I love chicken so much so much that I'll sit infront of the stove, watching the chicken being fried.. ohh, delicious!! I'm a layed back kinda guy. When I'm happy, I'll be super duper hyper.

This Saturday

Yesterday I received a call asking for Alexander The Great. She introduce herself as Joleen. Told her that someone had arranged appointment meeting Alexander at night, so she asked is there anyone else up for adoption. I say YES! I thought she wanna adopt a cat.

Later then she informed me that she's writing an article for The Star Weekender about pet rescuers and she need a cat with great story to be featured in " for adoption" section. At first I thought it was a prank so I did some research and the outcome convince me it is not a prank. So I wrote some short description about Lea, grab some photos from my housemate's PC, emailed to her and it will be up on this Saturday, 11th April. Why I chose Lea? Well, so far she's the only one who had lived in Bubu's Shelter for nearly a year and still no one wanna adopt her. Maybe because she's one eye Jane.. I'm not sure.

I never thought such wonderful things will happen in the middle of my busy month. I'm so happy to be given this opportunity. Thanx to Joleen from The Star & Ezreen for the pics.

Lea The Courage

Do you still remember me? I was the only survivor from the vet story.
one eye jane
vet issue
sadness

Well, now I am big, neutered, and I'm up for adoption. I'm seeking for someone who have experience in cat, and don't have any cat currently at home . Well, I'm a lone-ranger, and I don't mind if my new owner have hamsters or sugar glider or something tiny. Coz I love them. My boyfriend was Late Hokey Pokey who used to board here. I always sleep next to his cage, watching him playing,eating.. So sad he died from cancer.
The reason why my new owner can't have other cat because I am too ego to be lovable when there's other cats around. I am greedy. I want all the love on me, not to other cats. I might be timid and shy, but that's because I don't trust anyone. So if you want my love, love me with all your heart, I surely will love you back.

If you are The One..

please contact ain..

A story

This is Alexander The Great. My housemate found him while searching for her missing kitty. He was wondering around alone so she brought back him home. He's active, friendly and loves attention. He's about 2 months old, very cute male dsh. He has been adopted by Maslina

Meanwhile Lea and Thomas Bleach has gone for neuter. After recovering from the surgery, they'll be up for adoption too.

I went to SPCA-DBKL Klinik Kembiri to neuter them. While waiting, I went to the backyard, looking at the dogs and cats in the cage. It is heart breaking to see knowing the animals have 1 week to live. If no one claims them, they'll be put to sleep. All dogs there, licenced and without licenced, all trying to impress me. All giving that "i wanna live" look in their eyes. Those looks tears my heart. They are such beautiful dog and how I wish I have place for you guys my dear. Some are puppies, some broke their legs, some have wounds.

Then I walked to the cat area. They were hoping me to take them too, especially this one blue coated cat. I wonder how he ended up here. For your information, pusat kurungan dbkl is where they put all their catch stray dogs, cats, wondering around goats, cow and birds. If no one claims them in one week, they will be put to sleep. At the store, I saw tins of poison. Maybe that is the "thing" to put them to sleep, I don't know. There's even sick cats with their whining kittens, all have eye infection. There's a skinny cat, facing the floor, flies all over it's body. I thought it's dead, but actually I'm wrong. It is dying!! There were some cats trying to get out of the cage. Maybe they know that they are going to die and the only way to survive is by escaping. Everyone is looking at me. Hoping me to set them free. There's one dog, she has puppy, from the look of her nipple. And she's barking. maybe telling me she need to go back to her child back at the street.

Back in the office, I heard the manager and an old lady conversation. He told the old lady that now they need to put a guess book for visitors or people who wanna send their pets to neuter because public is giving one of the hell time for dbkl. They come and took pictures of how dirty, sad, bad it is there. Show it to the media. Giving dbkl a bad name.

I'm sad. We Malaysians are way back unlike other developt country. Who is the one responsible of the animals in those cage?? Who is the one who dump all unwanted kittens and puppies at the backstreet? Who is the one chose not to neuter their pets believing that it is not humane?

And now you are telling Malaysia that dbkl is a bad, irresponsible, inhumane? It is YOU the cause. Don't blame others for your action. If you really care about the fate of all those animals, why don't you start changing their fate by neutering YOUR pets.
