Hyper

One of my friend rescued a cat from the street and after neutering him, he goes hyper. Met him before neutering, he was a lazy bump with sleepy eyes. All he did was sleeping. Wonder what makes him hyper after neuter.

I did some readings. After neuter, cats will not be stress because they don't need get stress finding partners and less territorial (so they'll act cool whenever there's other cat around. So act cool, less stress). So what really triggers his hyper mode?

1. He could be bored. Since he's alone, most experts will advice to get another cat which is nearly the same age and same temperament. When your hyper cat has a playmate, at least you don't have to entertain your bored cat 24/7.

2. Play with him. Get toys which may burn up his energy such as laser beam, balls, strings, feathers or stuffed mice. Cats are born to be hunter so toys which can challenge their hunter skills are the best toys.
