Vet issue

Lea is active, and recovering now! She has big appetite and playful. Trying to mix around with Senget and Emma after the death of her siblings, Lara and Lisa. After I send her to Bangi vet, afew hours later, Lara died. Lea was lonely. I disinfect the whole house including cage and food bowl, litter box, but still, I need to force feed Lea with Hills I/d. And she don't have that appetite at all and not playful. She's getting skinner than before. I even did research on the virus that the Bangi vet said. My shock, the symptoms and the way the virus spread is different than what the Bangi vet told me. I'm kinda confuse so I ask Shah Alam vet( the vet I usually go) for second opinion. To my surprise, Shah Alam vet did some examinations and he told me that Lea is healthy and she is alert. Cat's with virus are not alert. Maybe she vomit because of worm and big SHOCK, she ate when the vet gave her fussiecat wetfood. No force feeding ok!He told me that maybe Lea is a fussy cat afterall coz some cats get boring easily when they eat one kind of food. He prescribe Lea diarrhea's med and antibiotic.

Some story i didn't reveal so now I wanna do it for your information. We're in Cyberjaya so Shah Alam is way too far for me to travel so usually i'll go to Putrajaya Taman Warisan's Vet which is a branch of Mesra Vet Bangi Seksyen 7. The Late kittens which is Louise, Senget, Emma, Piper,Tupai Jr., Tupai Jr. II, Piper Jr. and many many more were having mild flu and conjunctivitis i guess, so I bring all of them to the Mesra vet so she prescribe them some flu meds and eye drop. Things turn out to be fine. All of them recover (except Senget and Emma) but just for awhile. Afew days they were ok, then they get worst. One by one start to die and Louise, Senget, and Emma flu getting worst so I send them to Shah Alam vet. Vet told me that Louise has terrible ulcer and Herpes. Senget and Emma, vet gave them some meds and they recover now and are back into business, destroying everything! Sadly,Louise didn't make it. For Lea's case, when I bring Lea and Lara to the Mesra vet, the vet just ask me what's wrong with them and straight away say they have "Hawar" virus. Not even examine them. She barely touches them. Just their ear. That's all. And common', they even charge RM1 a syringe!! And it's recycled syringe not the new one in the packaging! Never in my whole life I need to pay for syringe!Before all of these happen, I ever send Rashidah, Pendek, Panjang, Lana, Late Louise to Mesra vet because they are having high fever. They never gets well with the meds that vet gave and they get even worst. In the end I need to go to Shah Alam vet, and they recover. I'm kinda disappointed with Mesra vet. The vet is not friendly and she always answers my questions lazily. Some forumer didn't experience all these when they visit Mesra vet, some did. Some said, maybe depends on luck and maybe they threat us depends on who you are. From all these bad experiences with Mesra vet, Bubu's Shelter officially banned this vet.

Sadness

Just came back from vet. Vet told me the that there is "hawar" virus or known as rhinotracheitis outbreak now. The clinic received so many cases, same symptom and she told me that for now, no kitten survive yet, and adult has very minimal chances of surviving. She gave Lara and Lea 2 shot each and I need to go to the clinic everyday because she can't hospitalize them because it could affect the whole cat in the clinic. She told us to disinfect our house and wash our hands everytime after holding Lara and Lea. We even need to force feed them with Science Plan I/D.I hope they are strong.. I'm sick of digging graves..

Sayonara

I just came back from class, and my housemate told me that Louise just died. For this whole 1 week, I have been force feeding her. Vet told me that she's having ulcer and Herpes. May you rest in peace Louise.. We will all be missing u.
Meanwhile, Lisa died. She was playful yesterday, and this morning around 1a.m she died. Then I checked on Lara and Lea, they are sick. High fever. Bringing them to vet. Last checkup, they were healthy, playful, all the sudden, after Lisa's death, they're sick. Keep on vomiting and diarrhea. Did some homework and they might having bowel irritation. Hope they are ok, and I'm holding them back until they are healthy, then i'll release back for adoption.

Dear Ari,
may you rest in peace. We've tried our best to make you survive, we know you are strong but God loves you more, what can we do now is to pray that you are happy playing with your siblings and friends at cat's heaven. We will all miss you very much..

Last 3 weeks, i received a call from my housemate asking about if a cat has been hit by a car, will it survive? I answered, depends on which area it been hit. If tail, it may not survive, but if leg, it may survive. Then she told me that she and her friends found a kitten, DLH at the petronas gas station, with both of her back leg broken. They took her home. After lunch, we brought her to vet. Vet told us that she can't treat her because she dont know what's wrong with her and we need to xtray her first. since the vet dont have that facility, we need to bring the kitten to UPM's vet and since it is saturday, the UPM vet is closed, so we need to wait til monday. That night, we name her Kristy. On Sunday, i brought her to Shah Alam Vet since they have the xtray and it is cheaper than UPM's. I told the vet that I need to do quotation for Kristy's treatment coz we are collecting fund for her, so vet inform me that the xtray cost RM120 for 2views. She asked me whether I want to do it now, i told her i cant. then she said that, maybe she can help something,so she asked the senior vet to look at Kristy. He told me that Kristy might have nerve problem because after from the first time she can't move both of her leg, now one of her leg is shivering and she do feel the pain, unlike broken leg, they can't feel anything if her leg been pinched. So vet thought me how to do leg massage for Kristy, and gave Kristy nerve pill and pain killer last for 16days. Vet told me to come back if she didnt respond to the meds. So atleast I have 16days to collect RM120 for Kristy.She charged me RM20 for all the pills. im quite surprised. Unfortunately, 3days later, Kristy died.

After the death of Kristy, the next day, Piper died. I have no idea why. She has no flu or anything, in the morning before i go to campus, she was playing with paperball, and after I came back, i saw her laying on the floor helplessly. I feed her and clean her pee, and vet is close coz it's night, and a few hours later, Piper died. Then 2 hours later, Piper Jr. (Adek's kitten) died. The next day, Tupai Jr. (Adek's kitten) died. The following day, Tupai Jr. the 2nd (Adek's kitten) died. Then follow by Piper Jr. the 2nd (Rashidah's kitten) and Adek Jr. (Adek's kitten) died. I have no idea why. All of them been active, suddently have flu, then afew hours later they die except for Piper who is healthy for all this while. Now everyone have flu. Adek, Mama, Senget, Emma. Meanwhile Louise just recover from flu. Rest are ok. Now, all sick one been quarantine. Now is raining season, everyone can get sick easily..
