Where to put kitty's litter box?

Did you realize that there are actually good and really BAD places to put your litter box?

Yes, location can make the difference between whether your cat uses it or not. And you KNOW how important it is for them to use it. As you may know, inappropriate urination in the house is the most common and frustrating behavioral problem of cats.

So where to put kitty's litter boxes (or where NOT to put your litter boxes) ?

Poorly positioned or location of boxes is a common reason for cats to urinate inappropriately.

There are 4 "Bad" Places to Put Kitty's Litter Box:

1. Damp cellars, noisy locations, and high traffic areas are common locations that cats DON"T like.

2. Inconvenient locations such as the basement are often distasteful to some cats. Also, locations where the access can be intermittently blocked (such as the basement and you sometimes keep the door closed) can be a big problem.

3. Locations next to a washer, dryer, or furnace that may intermittently make noise will scare some cats and cause them to have a litter box adversity to that location for the rest of their lives.

4. Locations where other pets like dogs might bother them can be a big problem to cats.

So please go check your litter boxes to make sure they are not place in any of these four "bad" locations.

Hoa.. just fixed my pc. It has been dead for 1week! Anyway, the kittens are sooo naughty, and they have a new step-sister, Melissa. Found her under my neighbor's car, meowing, searching for her mom, but sadly, her mom never showed up. I've exam tomorrow and submission today, so can't post their latest pic. We also have Ammar up for adoption. A male kitten we found at a restaurant. He's healthy now, and super duper manja! Can't stop licking me!

For you information, starting from September 2008, there will no kitten put up free of charge. Friends, independant shelters and vet told me to put reasonable adoption fees to ensure people who adopt them really take care of them. I hope kittens & cats from Bubu's Shelter really get a nice place to stay, caring and loving owner, and be happy for the rest of their lifes.

Adoption fees will be ranging from RM30 onwards.

All these fees will be funded in Bubu's Shelter bank for future use of other kittens and cats. These fees will cover Bubu's Shelter food supply, litter supply, medications, neutering, and lots more..

In one year, we need roughly around RM5-6K to maintain the shelter, and having these fees may lessen our burden.

Where do we get that large amount of money?
From our recycling project, ThisCatShop, adoption fees(latest), and donations..

On Saturday, my friends and I went to Cheras downtown, searching for some cheap tees and stuffs. One of my friend went to the toilet at the nearby Surau. Lazy to wait for him, we move on. About 10minutes later he called me, "Ain, do you have kitten milk back home? There's kittens in a box nearby the surau. 5 of them. Still small.. As big as my palm..". The news changed my mood. This is what happen when people don't want to neuter their cats. They think it's cruel to neuter a cat, but it is more cruel when your cat got pregnant, then you throw away innocent kittens beside a surau, crossing your fingers, hoping passer by saw their cute adorable innocent puss in da boots face, or somehow they'll survive because there were food stalls nearby. Somehow, they know how to survive! Oh common'.. If you choose not to neuter, then be responsible of what you choose to have. Don't dump them. They are lifes.. Not garbage..

After buying some tees, pants, we went to the place where the kittens were. They were adorable! The boxes are still clean, except there was chicken and fish in it. Maybe passer by gave them or maybe the owner put it in when they dump the kittens, a food supply while waiting for people to pick them up. Who knows..

The box was wet, so we went asking around for boxes. Got one, we transfer all 5 kittens into the new box, then a mummy cat came. It was red in color, like them, so I pickup the loudest of all, make it cry, but the mummy cat ran away. Oh, maybe it's not their mummy.. poor kitty..

They slept all the way back to Cyberjaya. They are sooooo adorable! Made milk for them, makeup their new home, then put them back to sleep..

Yesterday bought RC34 for them. They really like it.. Hope this help them to grow big and strong.. Grow more adorable so that people will adopt them..

These 5 kittens will be put up for adoption after they passed their litter and behavior training..
